Terms of Service

Effective [[EFFECTIVE_DATE]].

These terms are the agreement between you and [[LEGAL_ENTITY]] ("we", "us") when you use this site or order a book. By placing an order you accept them.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. If you are ordering a book featuring a child, you must be that child's parent or legal guardian, or have their explicit permission.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it. Please keep your email address current — it is how we send your preview link and order updates.

3. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy, and a contract forms when we confirm it. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if a product is unavailable, if we suspect fraud, if the uploaded content breaks clause 5, or if there is an obvious pricing error. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund you in full.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the site and may change, but never after you have placed an order. Your total, including shipping, is shown at checkout before you pay. Import duties and local taxes are not included — see our Shipping Information. Payment is processed by [[PAYMENT_PROVIDER]]; we do not store your card details.

5. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the photographs and text you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to store, adapt and reproduce that content solely to create, print and deliver your book, and to keep the records described in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the content, and that you are the child's parent or guardian or have their permission. You must not upload:

  • photographs of a child you have no authority to submit
  • content that infringes anyone's copyright or other rights
  • sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise unlawful material

We may refuse or remove any upload that breaches this clause and cancel the related order.

6. How your book is created

Illustrations are generated with AI-assisted tools guided by the details and photograph you provide. The result is an artistic interpretation, not a photographic reproduction — your child will be recognisable in the style of the book, not reproduced exactly. This is the nature of the product, not a defect.

7. Preview and approval

Before printing we send you a preview of every page. Review it carefully: names, spellings, ages, dedication text and illustrations. Ask for adjustments at this stage and we will make them. When you approve the preview, the book goes to print, and the approved content is final. Errors in details you approved are not covered by free replacement — see Returns & Refunds.

8. Delivery, cancellation and refunds

Delivery timelines and costs are set out in our Shipping Information. Cancellation windows, replacements and refunds are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy. Both form part of these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The story templates, illustration styles, artwork, software, site design and brand are owned by us or our licensors. Your personalized book is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use — reading it, gifting it, keeping it. You may not reproduce it commercially, resell copies, or use our artwork or stories in your own products.

10. Acceptable use of the site

Do not attempt to breach our security, scrape or copy the site systematically, interfere with its operation, or use it to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

11. What we do not promise

We work hard to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on screen. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

13. Your responsibility to us

If a third party brings a claim against us because content you uploaded breached clause 5, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur as a result.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the effective date above will change when we do. Your order is always governed by the version in force when you placed it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [[JURISDICTION]], and disputes fall to the courts of [[JURISDICTION]]. We would much rather resolve a problem by email first — please write to us before anything escalates.
